I have had a few people email me recently about configuration settings for the jwFacebook Comments plugin. To be honest it has been a great deal of time since I wrote the plugin, and time is a premium for myself right at the moment.
However I have taken a few screenshots of the Facebook App settings I recommend (if you are using the plugin without a true Facebook App running), and a few screenshots of my own plugin configuration (which you see running here on this site).
Facebook Application Settings (in order of the tabs in the Developer Application Settings panel)
For the Joomla settings you will need to ensure the plugin is firing first (so set the Order to 0 for the jwFacebook Comments plugin).
Then in the plugin settings you should have something like this:
And now for the important bit......
If you have done all of this and you are not seeing the Facebook Comments block such as on my website there is one of two things happening.
1. If you are not seeing the Powered by jWarlock comment at the base of the page, the plugin is either not published or is not being loaded by Joomla. (Even when you have API data incorrect his will always output).
Also check your Sections and Categories formatting with that of my last screenshot above.
2. If you ARE seeing the Powered by jWarlock comment, check the HTML code for the existence of the Facebook javascript (at the base of where you content is being output). If this is there and your API data is correct, then there is an issue on the Facebook side of things (refer to the above) Facebook App settings area.
If all else fails. Please send me an email, and I will try and look into it when i get a chance :)
